Well just another day, another President…
What a crazy day we had! Yesterday Robin and I were the Official Photographers for A Conversation with George W. Bush at TCU Place put on by the fabulous Andy McCreath from tinePublic. WAY TO GO!! It was a great honor and experience to meet the 43rd President of the United States. Our shot even made front page of the Star Phoenix! He was witty and funny and seemed to have a genuine interest in the people he met in the VIP room before the event. We did a photo line of 110 people in under 15 minutes. Whew! If you are one of these special attendees you can click here to download your image as a souvenir of the day.
George gave a 45 min speech followed by a 45 min Q &A with Brett Wilson. It was so interesting to hear him talk candidly about his family, life after the White House and his point of view while President.
I can truly say I did not know what to expect yesterday, but I was pleasantly surprised by how Human he really was, by that I mean he was candid, funny and genuine. And no matter what your opinion is of him is, you left there feeling something. For some they were confused, some excited, but I think most left TCU Place feeling that hey maybe he’s not that bad.
Here are some of the highlights of the day…
Here I am with the President, people who know me well will not be surprised how ‘up close and personal I got in this photo’ … oops!
Here is Robin posing a little more appropriately
He was so much fun to photograph, he had some of the best expressions…
